The Cooper Companies is dedicated to being a Quality of Life Company and has around 7,000 employees producing products that are sold in over 100 countries.
Their insurance renewals averaged 18% a year…primarily due to uncontrollable claims. In 2008, we designed a population health management program and after five years of engagement, their renewal trend dropped to a five year average of 12%, a three year average of 8%, and 0% renewals for the 2013 plan year.
Cooper’s oldest participant was 71. She joined a gym, hired a trainer and still walks 30 minutes every day on a treadmill…with her cane in hand…She lost 35 pounds and says, “at 71 years old, I have NEVER felt better”.
Between July 2012 and June 2013, The Cooper Companies obtained

- Reduction of $1M in worker’s compensation claims
- $2M savings in health insurance premium costs
- Over the past three years, they have received a surplus of $2.9M from CIGNA alone.
A single Cooper office on the east coast of the United States recently shared the following results:
“We have been weighing in and taking body fat percentages since January. We started out with a bang and have kept the momentum going. In January we had over 400 people take part, and have maintained over 75% of those participants. We’ve been able to provide fruits and vegetables every month to all employees on all shifts. The half-way-mark stats are below.”
