The Opportunity:

We are looking for a sales executive to increase our market share in the Northern California marketplace.  This position manages all aspects of prospect development from pre-sale through close in the San Francisco Bay Area.  This includes developing referral sources, identifying new clients that match the business client profile, and ensuring a consistent flow of new revenue for the practice.

Your experience:

Candidates with a background in medicine, medical device, pharmacy, biotechnology, employee benefits insurance, or human resources would find our work complementary.

Your qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience with new business development.
  • Experience in marketing products in a business-to-business context.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with multiple decision makers on complex sales.

Account Manager
San Francisco Bay Area

The opportunity:

We are looking for an Account Manager to serve the employee benefit needs of our growing client base.  As one of a growing team of Account Managers, you will service clients across the country with their monthly billing reconciliation, enrollments and terminations.  Employees will call you for assistance with understanding their benefit plans and even ask for assistance with claim problems.  Your role is a very important one to UBF because it is the heart and soul of our service model.

Your qualifications:

You have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in HR focused on benefits administration. You understand HIPAA, COBRA, the impact of the ACA, as well as a working knowledge of ERISA. You are people-centered but like to check off your to-do boxes. Although you are very organized, you understand and can work with others who work creatively. You are very comfortable speaking in front of people and are well liked by your audience.

Employee Benefit Analyst
San Francisco Bay Area

This role is hands-on, providing analytical data and personalized customer service to our clients. The successful candidate is not only able to manipulate excel, but able to be a strategic partner, and a vital communicator with clients as well.

  • Provide comprehensive support in the marketing of new and renewal business for both fully insured and self-insured groups including:
  • Direct annual renewal strategy
  • Ensure quotes for accuracy, preparing, and submitting Request for Proposals
  • Prepare rate recaps/proposals and benefit plan comparisons.
  • Negotiate with carriers/vendors to ensure competitive rates and products
  • Proficiently know marketplace; carriers/TPAs, underwriting requirements & the benefits/services they offer

  • Maintain historical experience and large claim information
